Simple Gifts

I can only hope that everyone had as lovely a Mother's Day that I had.

The first gift was from Kiefer, as he decided to sleep through is middle of the night feeding. I woke up well rested, to a lovely gift of David Bacco chocolates and the frameable result of Kiefer's first foray into the world of fine art - fingerpainting with food. (Video posted -- Brad used pureed carrots, berries, and spinach for paints, and Kiefer kept eating it.)

I ate the chocolates for breakfast, had sushi for lunch, and grilled out for dinner. I worked in the garden during Kiefer's naps, and we went on a long afternoon bikeride to claim my free mother's day sundae at Michael's Frozen Custard. Between all of that, we just hung out and played with the little guy. A perfect day...
