It Finally Happened...

It finally happened, Kiefer put a piece of food up his nose and got it stuck. I remember my brother Dave having this issue not so long ago. My clever Dad was able to plug one of Dave's nostrils and had him blow the peanut out of his nose. I though of this when I discovered that Kiefer had just pushed a dried blueberry into his right nostril. However, Kiefer isn't capable of blowing out his nose yet. So, I though I will just wait for the sneeze... well with his insistence of sticking his little finger into his nose and pushing the berry in further I decided I had to go get it. It was a real life game of Operation and I faired (and so did Kiefer) quite well. Without causing damage - I layed Kiefer on his back and was able to extract the blueberry by pinching the berry skin with tweezers and sliding it out. I feel much more prepared for next time! - Brad
