Finally, a little help in the kitchen!

I'm so excited to have a new sous chef! Kiefer's been helping me in the kitchen for quite awhile, but it's mostly consisted of him scooping and dumping flour and sugar, whisking and stirring. Mostly while I cringe, as so much of it ends up on the floor.

But last night, he was a tremendous help. We had a lesson on peeling vegetables, and how to always peel away from your fingers. He took on the task, and peeled four carrots and a sweet potato for our soup, each on better than the last. Such focus for a 3 and a half year old! (If only that quietness would carry over into other activities.)
