Winter Wonderland Wedding

Brad officiated, and Kiefer didn't get dressed until the last minute.

Kiefer and his date, Rowan the Flowergirl (Adam's niece.)

On December 10, we journeyed to Omaha for my sister's wedding and an extended holiday visit. Callie and Adam were wed on December 12th at the same lovely nature center where Brad and I were married. There was plenty of snow on the ground, and luckily the predicted freezing rain wasn't bad enough to deter any guests.

We all had roles to play - Brad was the officiant, I was the matron of honor, and Kiefer was the ringbearer (but for some reason, they didn't let him actually carry the rings.) Callie was a gorgeous bride, with a very cute and cosmopolitan headpiece. The ceremony was perfect, with the added entertainment of the little ringbearer stopping several times while coming down the aisle to ring his jinglebells and dance to the processional music. What can we say, apparently the bassoon moves him.

The reception was gorgeous, with much thanks to the talents of my mom and lots of help from the rest of the family. Candlelit lanterns adorned the table, along with gingerbread houses, evergreens, pinecones, and lots more. White christmas lights and roaring fire completed the scene, and everyone had a wonderful time dancing, feasting, and toasting the happy couple.

Congratulations Callie and Adam! Thanks for letting us be part of your special day!
