The Birthday Boy

One last moment with the gifts after bath, before bed.

On Tuesday, June 22, we became the proud parents of a TWO YEAR OLD. It's a little hard to believe that this chatty, adventurous little guy once was as small as his little brother.

My parents came for the festivities, and we had a little family get together for gifts and refreshments. Kiefer opened his gifts as his favorite Bob Marley album played in the background. And we got to here the entire album, as Kiefer took his sweet time. He opened, and thoroughly played with each gift before moving on to the next one.

Then we retired to the kitchen for treats. Kiefer had chosen a few delicacies from my cookbooks, and we enjoyed strawberry buttermilk ice cream and whoopie pies (watch tallgrasskitchen.com over the next two weeks for photos and recipes.)
