Saturday, September 20th was Kiefer's first plane ride. We journeyed to the Pacific Northwest for Jim and Marieke's mountain wedding, and we were also able to sneak in a quick visit with our friends Jo and Marty.

The wedding was very special, and we were so glad to be a part of it. Brad was the best man, and even though it rained throughout the ceremony, it was beautiful. We concluded the celebration with a potluck feast, music, and fresh apple cider (which the guests help make with Marieke's new cider press!)

Don't be fooled by all of the sleeping pictures -- Kiefer was almost delirious with lack of sleep. He slept well at night with us at the hotel, but naps -- who needs a nap when you've got people to meet, mountains to climb, apples to press?
