New milestones and stories to tell: While on our trip to Omaha, we made an interesting discovery about Kiefer's sleeping habits. He had been sleeping okay -- not great, but okay, typically waking up at least twice during the night (1am and 4am). At my parents house, he slept from 7pm-5am, three nights in a row in a borrowed pack and play. Our first night back home was challenging -- the little guy was waking up every 15 minutes for about two hours. I then laid him on the guest bed (really, we aren't the world's worst parents, there was no way he was going to roll off), and he slept peacefully. We concluded that Kiefer is a sensitive little guy, and needs a soft mattress. We've since purchased a new mattress pad, and things have improved, but I still think he'd like it a bit softer.

On October 13th, Kiefer figured out how to roll from his back to his tummy. He tried it about 10 times in a row to practice, and he got pretty good at it. He still has trouble with his arm getting caught under his stomach, but I'm sure he'll get this kink worked out soon enough (no more sleeping on the guest bed.)
Kiefer attended his second wedding (this one in more formal attire than the Seattle wedding) the last weekend in September. Lisa and Pete had a beautiful wedding, and a lovely reception -- we were glad to be there on their special day!
